Good Sunday afternoon!
I hope this finds you all well. As I continue to navigate through tech issues, I’ve been digging up messages that were buried in the midst of the mess and pulling out some of the highlights. Since we are now nearing the close of August, I think it’s well past time to get this one from June out (and there’s even a graphic this time!). Based upon just a quick scan of some of the top news headlines we’ve seen in recent months, I think we can all agree that it most definitely has proven to be a HOT summer… and we’ve still got another month to go! As the junk rises to the surface to be exposed, know that victory is coming.
Blessings to you all in the Name of Jesus,
-Lana
IT’S GOING TO BE A HOT SUMMER
Saturday June 22, 2024
It seems that we’ve had an excessively humid start to our summer, at least where I’ve been. I don’t do well with hot, humid, and buggy outdoor events. Give me 100° in an arid climate, and I’m pretty good. But humidity? Not so much.
My husband and I kicked off the season with a conference we’d assumed was going to be an indoor suit and tie affair… only to learn at the last minute that all seven hours of the speaker lineup would be fully outdoors, and we should bring along lawn chairs, sunblock, bug spray, coolers, etc. (I was exceptionally glad to have sent that final confirmation email before packing for that trip!)
There is the ongoing landscaping project that finally had to be sidelined until the fall, due to the heat of summer setting in.
And, most recently, we traveled to see my parents, whose home had been without air conditioning for a few months – post tornado damage. (All has since been repaired, but it was a long, hot, and miserable ordeal for them!)
To cap off that rather sticky vacation, we swung over to the hottest event of all: a lovely outdoor wedding overlooking the beautiful Flint Hills in Kansas. The ceremony was short and sweet as the radiant couple said their vows. And, at least that indoor reception venue would be air conditioned, right? Ha, ha. Nope. I thought my hubby’s aunt was going to pass out. I thought the bridal party was going to pass out. In fact, I thought everyone was going to pass out. And, yet, everyone celebrated, and we all survived.
So, as we made our way across the field to the car after the festivities, swollen ankles and all, I began to see that there was a distinct pattern forming for this summer – one of uncomfortably hot and un-airconditioned events. I’ve learned that patterns mean I should be asking the Lord what He is saying… so that is exactly what I did. This was His reply:
“It’s going to be a HOT summer.”
While He stated what sounded like the very obvious, I received a download of understanding at the same time. Summer had just barely begun. July and August were still to come. Yes, it had already been, and would continue to be, a hot summer, full of discomfort, swelling, sweat, and rashes.
But He wasn’t talking about the weather. This was about governments and leadership. Outrageous headlines. Worldwide societal and political unrest. Riots, accusations, brazen assaults and attacks, shocking announcements, embarrassing revelations, and overall uncomfortable environs. We were going to feel it all. There would be no “conditioning” of the air to make it more tolerable or easy to ignore.
I knew that as we entered into July, there would be a real SHIFT concerning not only our government, but world governments. We would see more and more full-on meltdowns in the political arena. Where strongholds had been firmly STUCK, we could expect to see the ground shift, shake, swell, and crack from the HEAT, as evil was being uprooted and laid bare. It would look like chaos, but He who sits upon the Throne would most certainly be ordering and allowing it for the purpose of cleansing. And, He is not the author of confusion.
This heat was also hitting the Church. Just that very morning, as we’d been packing up to leave my parents’ home and head out to the wedding, my mom had been reading off headlines of pastors and ministry leaders who were suddenly stepping down or had been exposed in some way. Current sins, decades-old sins, unnamed indiscretions… things that had been hidden were surfacing all at once. So many. So tragic and shocking.
God has been saying for some time that He is purifying His Bride. If we’re expectant to see His glory revealed throughout the earth, then we need to have a full understanding that judgment begins in the House of God. That includes my church and yours, and that includes me. These are not the first ministry leaders to fall, nor will they be the last. While it is so heart-wrenching, it is a necessary clean up and a huge reminder to allow God to search our hearts.
So, after my husband and I made our way back to Texas and got settled into our comfortably air-conditioned home, the following message is what the Father spoke as He further expounded on the subject, as pertains to His Church...
Monday June 24, 2024
“It’s going to be a HOT Summer.
The era of the celebrity Christian is over. Judgment begins in the House of God. I will have a Church without spot or wrinkle – sans tache ni ride.” (“sans tache ni ride” is a French reiteration of “without spot or wrinkle.”)
“I am purifying My Bride, and I will no longer tolerate compromise, varying sets of rules, or secret sin hidden in darkness.
All things are being exposed. ALL THINGS. So, if you don’t want to be embarrassed, then voluntarily surrender. Ask Me to search your hearts. The time for cleansing is now, and it is much better for you if you cooperate with the process.”
“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
