I AM INSPECTING THE CUSTOMS OF ITALY

Good evening,
A few weeks ago, I ordered some handmade Christmas gifts, not realizing until after the fact that they would be shipping internationally. A tracking update over the weekend showed that “the shipment is being inspected at the customs of Italy.” (It’s apparently been there for a while.)
So, that night as I lay in bed falling asleep, the Lord reminded me of my package. At the same time, He also brought up an unfinished word concerning Italy that He’d spoken to me several months ago. It’s a message that I knew would be very important, but He had left it completely hanging! Now it was finally time for the rest.
Just as “the customs of Italy” is inspecting my package, God is inspecting the customs of Italy!
He focused on delivering a pretty scathing word to the Roman Catholic Church and the Pope. I must warn you that it is a difficult read. I very much feel that there is still more that He will say about the country itself, but He wants me to go ahead and release both parts of what He has spoken up to this point.

PART I:

Tuesday August 30, 2022 – 8:30 pm
The Lord has been speaking to me much in this season about nations, the fall of world leaders, and the changeover of governments. The death of former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev was announced earlier today. So, as I was working this evening on a separate post to include that, the Spirit began to speak to me for the first time about Italy:
“Italy, Italy. Don’t think that I have forgotten about you! I have many things to say concerning you. For, it is written in your walls…”
And, this is where He left off in complete silence! For months.
“What is written in their walls, Lord?!?”
I had often sought Him over what came next, but knew that He was not going tell me until it was time.
That came 3 months later.
PART II:
I AM INSPECTING THE CUSTOMS OF ITALY
Friday December 3, 2022 – just before midnight
Tonight, as the Lord reminded me of an order of mine that is sitting at Italian customs, I once again asked:
“Lord, what do you have to say about Italy? What is written in their walls?”
He began speaking and showing me pictures:
“I am inspecting the customs of Italy.
Italy, Italy, I have much to say concerning you, for it is written in your walls!
‘What is written in the walls?’ you ask.
Look at the hieroglyphics, the relics, the inscriptions carved into the walls. Now… zoom in closer.”
VISION:
I could see a dim light highlighting a line of ancient carvings on terracotta colored walls which were in a dark, cave-like place. The writing was unrecognizable to me, but then morphed into carved pictograms that became more detailed and animated as I continued to watch.
The view zoomed in to show one pictogram in particular, and I could see it was of the current pope. He was surrounded by tall, jagged flames in front and the wicked council of hell behind. I then saw sacrificial tables set up off to the sides. The view pulled in even closer to reveal a full-color round snapshot of his face, which was sinister and scary.
The view panned back out to the line of wall carvings and then occasionally pulled back in for a close up look at other scenes. I saw old treasure chests brimming over with relics and gems. These also morphed into full-color pictures.
The Lord had been speaking as I watched, and He thumped His finger on the carving of Pope Francis as He began:
“THIS ONE has been foretold.
He is an evil man, and all hell stands behind him. Pope Francis, as you are called, your entrails will spill out, and you will be no more.
This church has a long history of doing what I hate: of taking My Word, and My law, and My salvation, and embellishing it and complicating that which was already done for you – the perfect work of My Son upon the Cross.
They usurped My authority and stole it for themselves. They extorted and manipulated the masses. They have taken what was holy and fed it to the birds. They took what was pure and desecrated it, and they profaned My holy Name.
What wickedness abounds! Their public cry is for life, but the private reality is mountains of children’s bones, taken apart, limb by limb.”
VISION:
He showed me a picture of multiple heaps of bones, and then I saw piles of things spilling out of walls that had been opened up.
“What do you think is stashed in those walls? It is blood money. Stolen gems and relics to rituals too vile to mention. You cannot handle what atrocities have been done in My Name and under My banner.
‘Do not take the Name of the Lord your God in vain.’
This, I say, is the ultimate form of breaking that command.
So, watch and be careful, My children, that you do not add one jot or tittle to what I have said or what I have established. For the penalty is fierce for those who lead My little ones astray and do great harm to the Kingdom – My Kingdom.”
VISION:
At this point, the scene changed to the pastoral Italian countryside.
I was first shown a curvy stream down in a valley with an open treasure chest on the shore. Then, I saw images of ancient men of God moving over the grassy hills through history, and also of ancient women singing and dancing to the Lord. I knew that some had been persecuted and found their end there.
As I was shown these things, He continued to speak:
“Bastion of truth. A treasure trove will be found down by the river. Forty days and forty nights will reveal a wealth of knowledge that you had never known, that the world has never known.
O Italy, O Italy. The bones of My men are buried there. Kings and prophets have trod upon your hills. They have eaten of your grapes and traversed your countryside.
Behold, I will do a new work there. Watch for it, and wait for your redemption, My beloved Italians.”
Then, to close out the message, I heard the call of a loud voice, as if from a town crier:
“LIRA, LIRA, LIRA!”
The lira, of course, was the former currency of Italy. Additionally, I learned that it is the word for “lyre” in both Spanish and Italian.
But I also very much understood the Lord to be saying:
"Read and pay attention!”
As far as I was able to search out, that doesn’t match up with Italian at all (any knowledge of that language for me stops at the end of an “Olive Garden” menu!). But the French verb meaning “to read” is “lire,” so “lira” would be a future tense form used as:
“He/she/one will read.”
As far as the “forty days and forty nights,” it was not clear on whether the days are literal or figurative, nor did I know whether it was one event that would happen at the end of "40 days,” or be more of a continual unfolding of many things over a "40 day" period. Please know that I generally refrain from giving out hard dates unless the Lord were to specify one explicitly. But for those who are interested, depending on how you count the nights, it [a literal 40 days] could possibly land somewhere near January 12th to 13th (by the end of the message, it had just passed midnight here in my Central time zone… and would be well into the morning of Sunday December 4th in Europe).
