Putin | Word from May 27, 2025 | Released June 27, 2025

Well, friends, there’s been a lot in the news since last week!

We are so thankful for a swift and decisive blow to Iran’s nuclear program and are praying for peace and salvation to flow through that region. We are certainly seeing the fulfillment of a previous message that attacks on Israel would come back on Iran's head. The fact that Iranian civilians have not been hit in these strikes is further evidence of God's care and love for them.

As a teen and young adult, the churches I was involved in fostered in us such a prayer burden and concern for the 10/40 Window – that region with the greatest concentration of unreached peoples and nations most closed to the Gospel. The continual focus on praying for and reaching these areas is really a large part of the reason why I have such a heart for the nations today.

Of course, Iran is very much within that 10/40 Window, and while their government may be evil and oppressive, the people are ready for freedom. True freedom, as we know, is only found in the Cross of Jesus Christ. But there have been so many reports of a “Jesus Revolution” going on in Iran, as described in this CBN article from August of last year: Iran's Jesus Revolution: Mosques Close as 1 Million Muslims Accept Christ. Praise God!!!

But now I want to turn our attention northward to another dicey part of the world: Ukraine and Russia. The gospel is also spreading in these countries, as most evident in Ukrainians, who have been turning to Christ in the midst of the upheaval.

I’m going to relay a story I heard at a concert last year in a local Baptist church. The featured singing group shared of how they’d had the opportunity to minister in Ukraine at the beginning of the war. The venue was packed… as in, WAY TOO OVERCROWDED. Someone called the fire marshal as the concert was just getting started. But it just so happened that one of the group members was a local fire marshal here in East Texas! So, as the Ukrainian fire marshal walked down the aisle, pulling out his badge, the Texas fire marshal went out to greet him and also pulled out his badge. Smiles and handshakes ensued, a CD was given over, and the concert was allowed to go on. The gospel was shared... and there were 900 decisions for Christ that night! NINE HUNDRED!!

Don't stories like that make you just want to empty out your purse into the offering plate, hop on a plane, and go!? People are hungry for a message of hope and salvation. For truth and authenticity. For a God who loves them and sees them in the midst of their suffering!

Perhaps that is one reason the Lord has allowed this mayhem to carry on for so long… to stir a deep hunger and longing for Him within the souls of men. But last month, as Putin launched more attacks on Ukraine, the Lord made it clear that he’s gone too far, and that is the theme of the following word from Him.

PUTIN

Word from Tuesday May 27, 2025 – evening

This word is a follow up to one the Lord spoke to me at the beginning of the Ukrainian invasion of 2022, in which He had given Putin a stern warning:

“Putin,

I will use you to clean house, but if you go too far… if you step out of bounds… I will deal with you.”

As we know, the Lord’s timing and ways are definitely not our own, and His level of longsuffering is… well… long. Certainly, much longer than ours. (And, praise God for that.)

So, this evening, as my husband and I were watching a news clip about Putin’s aerial attacks on Ukraine over the weekend, the Father began speaking to me again in reference to that warning. This is what He said:

“Putin, I told you that if you went too far, I would deal with you.

You have gone too far.

You have now stepped out of My bounds and taken matters into your own hands, and there will be hell to pay. Perhaps you might still find mercy if you repent and bow to Me before that final day. IF you seek My face, I WILL turn My ear to you.

But My anger has grown hot against you for what you have done.

Did I not keep Moses out of The Promised Land for acting out of arrogance and anger? Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before the fall. You, of all people, should know this.

I. MEAN. WHAT. I. SAY.”

At the end of that, I had the following scene in my mind. Although I could only see Putin in this vision, it was clear that he was standing in the presence of the LORD:

Putin was as a small child—maybe 6 or 8—but with the face of a grown-up. His face was blotchy and flushed, and he was sweating profusely as he trembled in fear, realizing that he was in BIG trouble with the God of the Universe.

I knew that the confrontation was completely warranted, but I felt a certain sense of empathy for him, just as I had always felt as a child for even the naughtiest of schoolhouse antagonists about to undergo severe punishment.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.

At this point, punishment and justice for actions taken WILL be doled out, in one way or another. But the Lord is still putting out one last olive branch to Putin, personally, if he will choose to acknowledge Him.

We all want an end to this war between Russia and Ukraine. Let’s pray for peace in both nations. Let’s pray for an end to the senseless suffering of both the Ukrainian and Russian people. Let’s pray for the mighty power of God to sweep through and bring salvation, freedom, and healing to their lands. But let’s also pray for their leaders to bow the knee before the One who has power to cast their souls into Hell.

18"Pride goes before destruction,

And a haughty spirit before a fall."

-Proverbs 16:18, NKJV

4“And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!”

-Luke 12:4-5, NKJV
