ROGER STONE, DAVID, AND GOLIATH
Word and Study from Early May, 2024 | Originally released by Truth-Justice-Mercy on October 5, 2024
Good morning!
The below is from early May of this year. Praise God for victory over Goliath and the men whom He is using to accomplish His work!
As an extra note, until I was inserting my references this morning, I hadn’t seen the Elijah Streams interview with Roger Stone since it first came out two years ago (highly recommend that you watch). I had completely forgotten that they discussed prior prophesies of a similar nature regarding him. It’s always amazing to me how the Lord confirms His word to me.
Blessings to you,

A STONE’S THROW
ROGER STONE, DAVID, AND GOLIATH
Early May, 2024
I awoke one morning in early May and had Roger Stone very much on my mind. Now, thinking about Roger Stone is certainly not a normal occurrence for me! But I recounted hearing his testimony a few years ago of political persecution, coming to saving faith and surrender to Jesus Christ, his wife’s miraculous healing from cancer, and how God was clearly using him to speak truth and expose darkness. His deep level of understanding of spiritual warfare, even as such a young believer, simply amazed me. The vast majority of longtime Christians in America are woefully ignorant and willfully asleep, but he’s experienced things up close and personal, so he knows how very real and high the stakes are.
Then I heard that gentle voice of the Father as He whispered:
“It’s just a stone’s throw away.”
I immediately knew the following in my spirit:
This was a reference to the story of David and Goliath (I Samuel 17). President Trump is the “David,” and Roger Stone is a stone in his pouch. The “Goliath” of our wicked and uncircumcised governmental regimes—who defy the armies of the Living God—will be taken out soon, I felt, by just one well-timed, accurately placed, and Holy Spirit-anointed “stone’s throw.” The LORD alone will receive the glory for this! It won’t be accomplished by a standard election procedure or any other means of man (but please do still go and vote!). What is impossible for man is easy for God!
I am not over-spiritualizing President Trump or Roger Stone. They are men full of flaws. But Trump is the one whom God has anointed for this hour to deliver us from Philistine bondage. He loves this nation, and he has a fearlessness in protecting its people. He’s seen the inside and knows how corrupt it is. He understands that if Goliath wins, the result will be total devastation, so he’s willing to do what it takes to stand. He doesn’t have to do this, but he knows he must.
And, perhaps Roger Stone himself is not necessarily the specific stone that takes out Goliath, but he most certainly is one of the brave ones whom God is using to speak out. He has aligned himself with truth and justice, no matter the cost. He’s been hauled off by the FBI, he’s lost his home and reputation, and he nearly lost his wife, so he realizes that there’s not much left to fear. Pray for this man. Pray for both of them.
So, to close, I’ll just do a quick recap of that passage in I Samuel, highlighting a few points.
David, as a shepherd boy, was acquainted with danger in the form of lions and bears. His job at home was to guard and protect those sheep at all costs, including his own life. (Can you even imagine such a thing being assigned to a young man in today’s Western World? What a slip in ethics, standards, and responsibility we’ve seen!)
He is neither phased by Goliath’s size nor the political norms of the day. All he knows is that this uncircumcised Philistine has defied the armies of the Living God, and so he naturally assumes victory over the darkness! It’s a given, in his mind. He’s not even part of the army, nor is he trained in their ways. He’s an outsider, which makes this whole thing seem all the more unlikely.
When it comes time to prepare for battle, David realizes that he cannot do a thing using man’s armor and weapons. So, with only his confidence in the Lord as protection, he brings a shepherd’s staff and pouch, and carefully chooses five smooth stones for his sling. All of this shocked and greatly offended his arrogant, well-trained, and towering foe – who, in addition to all of his armor and weapons, also had a shield-bearer in front of him.
As Goliath begins cursing David by false gods, David’s boldness and faith rise up once again, and the giant is swiftly taken out. Not only that, but the Philistine armies are then overcome, and their camps are plundered by the Israelites! But perhaps my favorite part of the story is how David declares, “Then all the world will know that Israel has a God, and this whole assembly will know that it is not by sword or by spear that the LORD saves, for the battle is the LORD’s. He will hand you over to us.”
As an intercessor, the cry of my heart has been for the Name of the Lord to be magnified throughout the earth! Lord, we want to see your Name lifted high and the nations exalting You! It is for YOUR sake and for YOUR GREAT NAME we continue the fight.
I Samuel 17:36-53, CSB
36 “’Your servant has killed lions and bears; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.’ 37 Then David said, ‘The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.’
Saul said to David, ‘Go, and may the LORD be with you.’
38 Then Saul had his own military clothes put on David. He put a bronze helmet on David’s head and had him put on armor. 39 David strapped his sword on over the military clothes and tried to walk, but he was not used to them. ‘I can’t walk in these,’ David said to Saul, ‘I’m not used to them.’ So David took them off. 40 Instead, he took his staff in his hand and chose five smooth stones from the wadi and put them in the pouch, in his shepherd’s bag. Then, with his sling in his hand, he approached the Philistine.
41 The Philistine came closer and closer to David, with the shield-bearer in front of him. 42 When the Philistine looked and saw David, he despised him because he was just a youth, healthy, and handsome. 43 He said to David, ‘Am I a dog that you come against me with sticks?’ Then he cursed David by his gods. 44 ‘Come here,’ the Philistine called to David, ‘and I’ll give your flesh to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts!’
45 David said to the Philistine, ‘You come against me with a sword, spear, and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD of Armies, the God of the ranks of Israel—you have defied Him. 46 Today, the LORD will hand you over to me. Today, I’ll strike you down, remove your head, and give the corpses of the Philistine camp to the birds of the sky and the wild creatures of the earth. Then all the world will know that Israel has a God, 47 and this whole assembly will know that it is not by sword or by spear that the LORD saves, for the battle is the Lord’s. He will hand you over to us.'
48 When the Philistine started forward to attack him, David ran quickly to the battle line to meet the Philistine. 49 David put his hand in the bag, took out a stone, slung it, and hit the Philistine on his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown to the ground. 50 David defeated the Philistine with a sling and a stone. David overpowered the Philistine and killed him without having a sword. 51 David ran and stood over him. He grabbed the Philistine’s sword, pulled it from its sheath, and used it to kill him. Then he cut off his head. When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they fled. 52 The men of Israel and Judah rallied, shouting their battle cry, and chased the Philistines to the entrance of the valley and to the gates of Ekron., Philistine bodies were strewn all along the Shaaraim road to Gath and Ekron.
53 When the Israelites returned from the pursuit of the Philistines, they plundered their camps”
“But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible,
but with God all things are possible.’”
-Matthew 19:26, NKJV
