Good afternoon,

Several have asked me to share some of the practical ins and outs of how I hear from the Lord. Since it’s something that I personally struggled with for decades, I will always gladly share if it might be of help to anyone else in learning to recognize His voice. I believe 100% that He wants all of His children to hear from Him!

Many times, I will just simply ask Him to repeat, clarify, or confirm that it’s Him! And, frequently (as in the case below), He is patient enough to keep repeating the same line over and over until I finally write it down… at which time He resumes the message as if nothing had happened!

I’m so thankful for His patience.

Also, while His voice is often quite matter-of-fact, sometimes the Lord will also be quite funny… and He has the most joyful laugh! I was chuckling as He said, “Rumble, rumble!” with a lilt in His voice.

I decided to go ahead and share with you my interjection during the following message, so you can get a real sense of how these conversations go sometimes! My words are in light italics, and the Lord’s words (as always) are in bold italics.

THE BABYLONIAN SYSTEM IS BEING OVERTURNED

Friday April 15, 2022 – 10:25 pm

After nightfall on the evening of Passover and Good Friday, the Lord began to speak to me. I heard a very still, very small, very quiet voice. In fact, it was so quiet that I was straining to hear over the distractions and background noise in the house. So, I took my notebook and pen into the laundry room, shut the door, prayed, and began to write what the Lord was saying. The enemy was doing what he could to create confusion in my ability to hear, but I was determined to press in.

This is what the Lord said. As He spoke, I saw an image in my mind very similar to that of the attached graphic.

“The Babylonian system is being overturned.

Do you see it?

Look off into the horizon and watch. Ha, ha!!

It’s coming… like the slow rumble of horses’ hooves in the distance… kicking up the dust.

The dust! The fallout! Their fallout is great!

Rumble, rumble! Ha, ha!!

Nothing they try is working!

For I, the LORD, have declared their end.

Do they really think that they can outsmart Me?

My children, be patient and you will see…

Great and mighty works that only I can do.”

(This is where I stopped.)

“Lord, that is exactly the same line I wrote several weeks ago. It may sound pretentious if I use it again. I only want to say YOUR Words; not mine. Please don’t let me say anything that is coming from me and not from You.”

The Lord continued:

“You will see…

Great and mighty works that only I can do...

...Great and mighty works that only I can do.”

(This is where I finally wrote it down!)

“Yes, I’ve told you these very words before, but I am telling you again!

Their end is near… it is at hand.

And, all who mock My Name… will learn otherwise!”
