ABOUT THOSE ROYALS

Good evening,
The Lord prepped me for a few days for this one with the Ask of Me song and corresponding Bible passage in Psalm 2 (see Psalm 2, released May 23, 2022). And, while it seemed like a very odd and abrupt transition from Psalm 2 to Princess Diana, this is what the Lord used to open up the conversation with me.

DIANA… A Game of Twenty Questions
ABOUT THOSE ROYALS
April 27, 2022
As a continuation of yesterday’s look at Psalm 2, today the Lord started focusing on the first verse. But He was insistent that it be worded just the way I had memorized it as a child. I had looked up the passage in multiple translations but kept hearing and feeling, “Nope!” until I ultimately pulled out my old well-worn childhood King James Rainbow Bible, with the front cover and spine torn off. He would absolutely NOT let me read it any other way… and I didn’t understand why!
“Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
-Psalm 2:1, KJV
The other versions use variations of, “Why do the nations rage (or conspire) and the people plot in vain?” I don’t believe that they’re inaccurate at all, but the Lord was trying to get at something, and well… let’s just say that He took me for quite an unexpected turn and a journey through a game of Twenty Questions from here (well, twenty-something, anyway).
Below is the conversation we had, with (as always) the Lord’s words in bold italics and my words in light italics.
“Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing?
WHY do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing?
Why did Diana die?
‘She was in a car crash.’
Why did her car crash?
‘They were speeding.’
Why were they speeding?
‘Well, the driver was drunk… and they say there were paparazzi…'
But, why was the driver drunk?
‘Umm… He had been drinking?’
Why was he drinking? What did he drink?
Doesn’t this seem odd – that the driver for The Princess would be drunk?
Where was the bodyguard? Why did the bodyguard let him drive?
Why did the bodyguard live?
…She WAS, after all, still the mother of the king.
Why did she crash in a tunnel?
What was in that tunnel?
Why did the ambulance take so long?
And, why did the ambulance only go TEN miles per hour?! (I think He was exaggerating here… but maybe not?!?)
WHY do the heathen rage and the people imagine a VAIN thing?”
This is where I started to follow what the Lord was saying. I’d never been one to believe the conspiracy theories or anything other than that it had just been a terrible accident. I realized that the Lord was repeating Psalm 2:1—using this specific verbiage—to mean that the people were the general public who imagined, or believed, a vain thing… or in this case, the false news reports of what had really happened. I said:
“Lord?
It really sounds to me like You’re taking Your own Word a little out of context here… but go on… I’m listening.”
“Why did Diana die?
‘She was a problem for them?’
Yes, but she WAS still the mother of the king.
‘Well, future king... the heir???’
His father is no king! His grandfather is no king.
And, The Queen… well, you will see.
Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing?
Why is Fergie still alive?
‘Umm… she didn’t crash???’
She was an embarrassment, no? But why did she live?
She has a strange set up, no?
And, why does she defend him viciously? (speaking of Prince Andrew)
Why did they let HER live and Diana die?
I loved Diana, because she loved the children… the widow, the orphan, the hurting.”
Well, okay! So, there’s that. As I mentioned, I’d never entertained any of the conspiracy ideas. But I do have to admit that I’ve always had this deeply buried nagging sense that it was rather convenient for The Crown that she died.
I’m not going to read into this more than what He said. These are His words, and they’re there for you to evaluate and tuck away or research further if you so desire. But I will say that during the course of the conversation, I certainly did make note of several side points to circle back to and ask Him about later…
