ABOUT THOSE ROYALS

Good evening,
I pray that everyone’s week is off to a great start!
Since last November when the Lord told me to be watching The Queen (London Bridge Is Falling Down – PART I, November 10, 2021), I have kept a keen eye on The British Royals.
There isn’t a lot of news that He allows me to watch these days, nor does He let me listen to many prophetic voices in this season that I’m in. He wants me to hear from Him directly and not taint it with what others say. So, I find it kind of amusing (and feel a little bit like a shallow junior high girl) in saying that I ignore the news, but try to keep up loosely with The Royals. Okay, so I guess there are worse things!! And, I am a (grownup) girl, after all.
Anyway, He’ll say to me, “Let’s talk about those Royals…” and has given me a few different tidbits, which I will be releasing to you under the series heading, About Those Royals…
But I’ll start it out today with a Scripture passage.

The Lord had put an old 1990’s-era missions-conference-standard song into my heart for a couple of days:
“Ask of Me
And I will give the nations
As an inheritance for you
As an inheritance for you
My children, ask of Me
And I will give the nations
As an inheritance for you
Ask of Me.”
It’s not a song I had heard in decades, so I knew the Lord was trying to say something to me, and I looked up the corresponding Scripture passage.
“Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.”
-Psalm 2:8, NKJV
So, then I began to read the rest of Psalm 2 to get it in context. It was amazing to me at how everything lines up with current events! The LORD is exposing wickedness in the leaders of the earth and the Nations are about to KNOW that He truly is God!
Psalm 2, CSB
Coronation of the Son
“1 Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth take their stand,
and the rulers conspire together
against the Lord and His Anointed One:
3 ‘Let’s tear off Their chains
and throw Their ropes off of us.’
4 The One enthroned in Heaven laughs;
the Lord ridicules them.
5 Then He speaks to them in His anger
and terrifies them in His wrath:
6 ‘I have installed my King
on Zion, My holy mountain.’
7 I will declare the Lord’s decree.
He said to me, ‘You are My Son;
today I have become Your Father.
8 Ask of Me,
and I will make the nations Your inheritance
and the ends of the earth Your possession.
9 You will break them with an iron scepter;
You will shatter them like pottery.’
10 So now, kings, be wise;
receive instruction, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with reverential awe
and rejoice with trembling.
12 Pay homage to the Son or He will be angry
and you will perish in your rebellion,
for His anger may ignite at any moment.
All who take refuge in Him are happy.”
Nations raging in war, people plotting ridiculous things, leaders of the earth conspiring together against the Lord and doing everything they can to reject His rule and reign… this all is sounding very familiar!!!
And, it says that He sits in the heavens and laughs at them! He even ridicules them. He speaks to them and terrifies them with His wrath! These are all things that have been prophesied by various ones in recent times concerning current events. And, here it is, right here in His Word. Praise God.
He is stepping in; He has placed King Jesus in charge! The nations of the earth are His inheritance, and we know from Revelation 5:9 that every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation will be represented in Heaven! He offers opportunity for repentance and blessings, but ultimately will deal harshly with those who continue to rebel.
So, we don’t have to fear what they are doing. He is completely aware of all that is going on. He sees everything, and He will bring justice for all. We need to stand in prayer against the evil and call for it to come down. Declare that it cannot stand, in Jesus’ Name!
Today I encourage you to read this passage through several times and meditate upon it, rejoicing that He is on the Throne!
Tomorrow I will take you on the very different and unexpected journey that He led me through after reading this passage. It will get interesting… maybe even quite strange, really. But this is how He opened up one long conversation with me About Those Royals...
