THE ANTITHESIS OF PRIDE
Word and Teaching from June 24, 2023 | Originally released by Truth-Justice-Mercy on January 6, 2025
Good morning, and Happy 2025!
I pray that the start to your year has been blessed.
Below is a message from June of 2023 that I’d intended to put out this past June (2024). But as some of you know, my tech life over the summer was just in a shambles. I could barely get any computer to turn on and function, let alone connect to the internet or put out an email. So, as I stumbled upon this one again while going through old messages, I felt that—despite the fact that we are currently nowhere near June—the time for this word is now, as we begin 2025.
The Father has been speaking to me in recent months about some of the vast demonic strongholds over our culture and how He is ready to overturn some of these gods of the age – once and for all. He will frequently ask me:
“Can you imagine such a thing?!?”
“It sounds too good to be true… but yes, Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief!”
What a glorious thing to imagine! We have a few months before another June rolls around, so let’s use that time to prepare by falling on our faces and praying that this year’s June will begin to look very different than those of recent years.

HUMILITY
THE ANTITHESIS OF PRIDE
June 2023
HUMILITY.
For several years now, but most especially this year (2023), I’ve felt the need to meditate upon this word throughout the month of June.
Here's the definition, according to Websters 1828 Dictionary:
"(In ethics) Freedom from pride and arrogance; humbleness of mind; a modest estimate of one's own worth.
(In theology) Humility consists in lowliness of mind; a deep sense of one's own unworthiness in the sight of God, self-abasement, penitence for sin, and submission to the divine will.
Act of submission."
"Humility, meekness, gentleness
The Hebrew word 'anavah' primarily denotes a state of humility or meekness. It reflects an attitude of lowliness and modesty, often in relation to one's position before God and others. In the biblical context, humility is not merely an outward demeanor but an inward disposition that acknowledges one's dependence on God and recognizes the value of others."
And here's an example of usage in the Old Testament (note that the orange highlights are very closely related words):
"Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth,
Who have upheld His justice.
Seek righteousness, seek humility.
It may be that you will be hidden
In the day of the Lord’s anger."
-Zephaniah 2:3, NKJV
And finally, the Greek Strong's Greek 5012 "tapeinophrosune" is quite similar:
"Humility, lowliness of mind
'Tapeinophrosune' refers to a mindset characterized by humility and modesty. It is the quality of having a humble opinion of oneself, a deep sense of one's moral littleness, and a modest view of one's importance. In the New Testament, it is often used to describe the attitude believers should have towards God and others, emphasizing the importance of selflessness and servitude."
And one more passage, this time with the Greek usage:
5"Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for
'God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.'
6Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God,
that He may exalt you in due time,
7casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you."
-I Peter 5:5-7, NKJV
HUMILITY. A heartfelt cognizance of one's own unworthiness to stand before the God of Creation – the very God who created order... male and female... marriage... family.
HUMILITY. Selflessness and servitude.
In a month when all of popular culture is celebrating “PRIDE” while parading their wickedness and flaunting the hardness of their hearts in the face of God, I began asking myself and the Lord these questions:
“What about humility? What would a celebration of humility look like in our culture?
…But humility doesn’t flaunt itself.
But what might it look like if God’s people assumed a posture of HUMILITY and brokenness on their faces before Him? What if the churches were FULL of people falling on their faces to seek God’s mercy and forgiveness on behalf of their culture? What if we clothed ourselves in humility before God... in an act of service toward those who do not yet know they need to be set free?"
"Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do!"
-Luke 23:34, KJV
"What might that change? What might it shift in the heavenlies?
What chains might be broken off of our land and our loved ones who are caught up in this bondage?”
As the month was nearing a close, and as I continued to ponder these things, this is what the Father spoke to me:
Saturday June 24, 2023 – 6:50 am
“Would My heart be moved to step in and say, ‘Enough!’?
‘Yes,’ I say. This generation will NOT be lost. Fall on your faces before Me, and I say that it WILL be turned.
In. A. Day. Yes, IN A DAY.
Plead for your children; plead for your nations. For they are My inheritance… and yours, and they WILL proclaim My glory, My truth, and My light to future generations.
‘This generation will NOT be lost.’ Declare it; decree it.”
Let's take this message to heart. It's not enough to just decry the wickedness and be set apart from it. Yes, we should absolutely do those things. But are we willing to put some of our own skin in the game? Are we willing to lay down our own pride and our own agendas to seek His mercy and power to break this highly embraced curse of wickedness over our culture? Church, let's fall on our faces and intercede for the lost!
7“I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
8Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
9You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’”
Psalm 2:7-9, NKJV
3“Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
4He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
5He shall receive blessing from the Lord,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek Your face. Selah”
Psalm 24:3-6, NKJV
